Review
Water filtration is one of those things on the trail which takes time and effort and it has to be done hygienically. The Cnoc Vecto water bladder offers a simple solution which is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to fill and is convenient and fast.
Why the Cnoc Vecto?
I wanted an affordable and lightweight water bladder which was compact and easy to use which would also fit my Sawyer Squeeze water filter without any attachments. When I came across the Vecto it looked perfect.
How well does it work?
I really enjoyed the slide locking opening which makes water easy to collect and it really speeds up the process. When not in use it rolls up to the size of a cigar and will fit in the side pocket of my pack next to my water bottles. It also carries really well under the Y strap on my Atom+ backpack when full. The updated version also now includes tethers on the slide lock and the screw cap so you don’t lose them. Nice touch.
What’s there not to like?
I sadly have had to replace my Cnoc Vecto once due to it forming a crack around the neck. While on the Pacific Crest Trail I didn’t want this to happen so I just collected water using smart water bottles. While the Vecto pouches are fantastic in so many ways, you have to be really gentle when filling up and when stowing away. Cnoc did kindly replace it free of charge though. I’d suggest they will last much longer should you use them as a gravity filter. Remember to take a backup such as Aquamira drops just in case you have the same issue and don’t have a vessel for your dirty water.
Value for money
At £15 for this design, the value for money is based on how long it lasts. But it’s a good addition to your kit list.
